Integrated
Care Pathway
Scottish Hungtingtons Association is in the process
of developing an
Integrated Care Pathway for
people living with HD. Taking a family based
approach and pulling together both social and health themes faced by families,
the care pathway will provide an important step in setting standards of care
and treatment. The pathway is in a draft format and
remains under development.
We have made the document available as a PDF and you
are free to download
it and use it as a reference. The information in the
pathway is the property of the
Scottish Huntington’s Association and may not be
altered in any way without our
consent. We are always interested in feedback from
our professional colleagues
so if you do download it we would value your
comments.”
Training Events
The SHA runs regular national training events
throughout Scotland.
The SHA offers local training to health and social care staff. Training can be
tailored to meet the needs of your team;
ranging from a basic introduction to HD through to
end of life care. We do make a small charge for training to cover
costs and this is usually by negotiation with the
local HD Specialist.
