Legacies

By leaving a legacy to the SHA in your will you will be making a very special and personal committment to the HD Community in Scotland. Your support will help ensure that future generations can call on our local HD Specialists just as they do today.

Your pledge can be for as little or as much as you like, so you can still provide for your family and friends whilst supporting our work too. You may decide to give us a fixed sum, or you may wish to give a percentage of your total estate. Whatever you decide to do, you will be helping to continue the support and care that is today making such a difference to the lives of HD families across the country.

Here are a few things that your legacy could pay for:

£500 Training session in a care home.
£750 Production of an audio version of the association newsletter 'What's On' and its provision to 30 people for one year.
£1,800 Christmas outing for 30 people from a local branch (pantomime, dinner, coach)
£6,700 Support for 35 people from one of our HD Specialists for one month
£17,000 Full sponsorship of the Carers Conference for 50 delegates.
£25,000 Information Management System to facilitate research into the Scottish HD population and assist with management of the association and help with fundraising.
£77,000 Full sponsorship of the Palliative Care Trainer for one year.
£110,000 Full sponsorship of a Service Development Manager for one year.
£240,000 Full sponsorship of the youth Project North East for three years.

The circumstances of each individual making a will are very different. So it is vital that you take proper advice from a lawyer on this matter. But if you would like to have an informal chat about the options then please contact Trish at HQ on 01505 322245.
